1. Information We Collect

When you register or use MacroPulse, we collect:

• Email address — required for account creation and transactional communications
• Name — optional, used for account display
• API usage logs — request timestamps, endpoint paths, and response codes, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention
• Billing information — handled entirely by Paddle (our payment processor). We never store credit card numbers.

We do not collect IP addresses for tracking purposes, browser fingerprints, or behavioral analytics beyond API usage counts.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and API keys
• To process billing and send receipts (via Paddle)
• To enforce rate limits and detect abuse
• To send transactional emails (key issuance, billing confirmations, security notices)
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secured cloud infrastructure. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes — we cannot recover the plaintext key after issuance. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

4. Third-Party Services

• Paddle — payment processing and subscription management. Subject to Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis) — source of macroeconomic data used in our models.
• Yahoo Finance — market data used in our pipeline.

5. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. API usage logs are retained for 90 days. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your data in a machine-readable format

7. Cookies

The MacroPulse marketing website does not use tracking cookies. The API dashboard may use session cookies for authentication purposes only.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
